Lola (in the red jumper) has always been a friend to hens

Our And Finally is a bit different in this edition, because it records a very special little dog called Lola, who through her life was kind to the many hens who passed through the hands of our founder, Jane. Lola was a tiny italian greyhound who regularly found herself, along with her furry friends, parked next to a poorly hen by a warm stove in the kitchen.

Lola always accepted hens as just another family member enjoying home comforts and when she passed away in July this year, Jane donated in her memory because of Lola’s understanding of those hens. She never startled them, she never nudged them out of the way, she just took great care to make them feel calm and comfortable.
