Giving hens hope this Christmas

Our incredible supporters have helped us so many times – please, will you consider doing the same again?

Below, we hear from our Lancashire Co-ordinator Simon Dagger who established his new site in May 2023 and has already sent 1,946 hens off to new homes.

As he explains: “Our new building provides more comfortable space for the hens whilst they wait to be collected and also offers shelter for the volunteers when it rains. We can rehome more hens on each rehoming day too and look after hens if there is any delay in them being collected. The covered run gives avian flu security as well as the hens some outside space and the new entrance, gate and grass mesh protection has improved vehicle access on collection days. It’s made a huge difference to us.”
