The after party

The days that followed the rehoming on 17th August were eerily calm, not least because we were forced to push back the announcement due to other Royal household commitments (that’s the nature of working with such prestigious people!) and so we had time to continue prepping our PR plans ready for when we could press go.

The embargo on the news lifted at 6pm on Friday, 24th August – cue lots of emails, phone calls and a very busy WhatsApp group! The social announcement posted on our channels was in collaboration with the Royal Family and Highgrove Garden which has no less than 13.4 million followers combined, so the reaction was nothing less than incredible.

There followed an appearance on BBC Breakfast (more on that on page 34), an interview with Trisha Goddard, coverage in Italy, Germany and Pakistan plus a feature on the Jeremy Vine show which took place literally days before this magazine went to print.
