| Henspiring A Generation Of Volunteers | Poultry Vet Guide Is A Hit In The Us |
Our pioneering Poultry Vet Guide, produced in collaboration with US-based poultry peers, was launched this summer with the aim of improving outcomes for pet poultry across the UK and beyond.
The intention was always to make the guide accessible worldwide, and recent figures prove there is a real appetite for the guide, with people from 48 countries so far accessing the website.
This includes visitors from Canada, Italy, India, Vietnam and Kenya, but the lion’s share of visitors so far have come from the US.
There have been dozens of vets sign up to the guide so far, all of which results in better treatment for pet hens when they are presented with an issue which is the ultimate aim of the guide.
This is being achieved by providing vets with accessible, expert knowledge enabling them to diagnose and treat pet birds quickly and efficiently.
If your hens have ever faced ill-health and sickness, you'll know it can be hard to find vets who have training in poultry medicine. We would therefore be incredibly grateful if you would pass this magazine on to your vet with this page folded down to encourage more subscriptions to the Poultry Vet Guide.
The driving force behind the immense amount of work put into this guide is to see laying hens and all pet poultry receive the respect and treatment they deserve.
