As with all pets some told us your hens required a trip to the vet, but thankfully most of you told us the care they received was good. An improvement on our last Hensus results.
A lot of you have used our Hen Helpline, and we received some truly wonderful feedback – thank you – but this anonymous comment really made us proud:
“I've used the helpline 3/4 times and, on every occasion, I've been deeply grateful for the attention I've received and the advice. But I've also been astonished that you're able to maintain such a high level of assistance, and so directly, at the end of the phone, not through some automated chat box. I don't know how you manage it, but I hope you keep it up. I know donations help, of course, and on every occasion I've used the helpline I've been moved to make one.”
A whopping 86% of you said you cook and/or bake with your hens’ eggs, while 73% give them away (wow!) and 15% sell them via an honesty box. A heartwarming 43% of respondents said they would consider leaving us a gift in their Will – thank you. This is an incredible way to support the charity, and we’d be delighted to support anyone wishing to do this. A legacy helps to guarantee our future and everything we do for hens.
