We’ve all heard about viewing the world through rose-tinted glasses, but wrong-way-round binoculars? Little Noah’s newly rehomed hens were free-ranging for the first time when this pic was taken, and mum Joanne, who volunteers for our Dunning Glen team, tells us he was looking for his feathered friends but not having much luck. And we don’t have the heart to tell him...
Did you know...
There just so happens to be a little-known church in east London housing a Clown Egg Register - started in 1946 to effectively 'copyright' the make-up of individual clowns by immortalising them on an egg! There were originally thought to be over 200 eggs, painted by Stan Bult, a member of Clowns International, but only 26 remain at the church in Dalston, with a further 46 on permanent display elsewhere. Who knew!
As we head into the long Easter weekend we’ll all be chomping on chocolate eggs as well as the chicken variety.
There’s been no shortage of wacky concoctions on the shelf this year, but one really took the biscuit. Torres, mostly known for its savoury snacks, took it upon itself to create The Crisp Egg which contains – yep, you guessed it – salted crisps. The viral creation has received mixed reviews over its taste plus the fact that it’s actually not as cheap as chips, as the marketing states, at £12.99 each. We'll stick to our fresh-from-the-garden eggs, thanks.
