We have learned that it’s the smallest things that have the biggest impact, like educating consumers about how the choices they make at the supermarkets impacts the lives of laying hens, offering a dedicated Hen Helpline so hen keepers around the country can call for help if their hens are poorly or creating the world’s first online forum for researchers to share and gather information. These small things add up and become big things that save and improve hens’ lives everywhere. But we cannot do this kind of work without you, our everyday heroes.

When you sign up to support us with a regular monthly gift you’re saying “yes I care” to thousands of hens kept in both commercial and backyard settings. Your gift goes directly to saving more hens from slaughter by finding them adoptive pet homes. You are also helping us to go well beyond welfare and develop programmes and practices that improve hens’ lives, whether it be through our ground-breaking research, our work with DEFRA or our educational courses – you’re saying “I want to help!” and that makes you an everyday hero - because without you we can do nothing.
