A Word From Our Supporters Soft Shell Eggs

Hen parties

It wouldn’t have been a celebration without involving our incredible volunteers around the UK, so of course we invited them to party with us. Each team was sent a hamper with the necessary goodies to hold their very own hen party and they really got behind us!

Our Bristol team really went the extra mile for their party – it looked absolutely incredible with such an array of treats on offer. Well done!

Here we share some of the fab photos taken at various parties – how wonderful to think that all these people are celebrating together because of hens.

Our Milton Keynes team ordered the sunshine for their party, and told us it was lovely to crack out the gold party plates. They even got inventive and used some BHWT stickers as cake toppers – clever!
‘Cheers’ from the Derbyshire team, who had a lovely time celebrating the millionth hen.
These simply gorgeous photos were taken when our Denny team attended a local vets open day, all donning their millionth hen T-shirts of course. It’s so lovely to see the next generation of animal lovers getting hands on hens.
It looks like our Essex team had a blast at their celebrations! Volunteer Andrew always takes such wonderful photos for us, and told us the best thing about becoming a volunteer is the new friends he’s made along the way. Just wonderful!
Doesn’t this look like the most gorgeous setting for a hen rehoming and millionth hen celebratory barbecue?! It took place at our volunteer Ruth’s house after she stepped in at the last minute due to an issue at our normal host site in Gloucester. Yet another example of our dedicated volunteers doing whatever’s necessary for hens.
The Surrey team opted for very healthy snacks for their millionth hen celebrations, although we did spy some chocolates on the table! This was the last rehoming for our co-ordinator Sally before she handed over the baton, so a huge thank you to her for her time and effort helping hens over the years.
