Egg Club gets cracking on one million pennies…

In a year of celebrations, our Egg Club flock is coming together for a special project to help hens everywhere…

We want everyone to be part of marking this incredible milestone, so we hatched a plan for our Egg Clubbers to raise one million pennies (that’s £10,000!) to help secure vital equipment for our Welfare and Education Centre. This includes kit such as microscopes, lab scales, protective equipment and a fabulous resin model chicken for anatomical reference so we can run hen welfare courses to help keepers, vets and other professionals learn more about our precious hens.

Egg Club is a truly unique way to fundraise for the BHWT and hen welfare. Our Clubbers all over the country raise funds in exchange for their surplus eggs to support our work and since 2017, Egg Club has raised an amazing £37,000 and counting. Whether rescue hen or fancy fowl, a garden gate stall or by supplying friends, colleagues and family, every penny donated to Egg Club goes towards saving more hens and improving welfare for all.

This year, to help spread the word, we’ve created some new egg box labels and information.
