A BIG BIG BIG milestone is approaching...

Those of you who keep a keen eye on our hen counter will have noticed it increasing quite rapidly this year.

After a disappointing 2022, due to Avian Influenza, we’re delighted that our hen numbers are back up to scratch and we are well on course to have rehomed over 50,000 by the end of this year.

The beady-eyed among you may also have noticed something even more eggciting happening on our hen counter...we are creeping ever closer to rehoming our ONE MILLIONTH hen!

Yes, we’ll be advising when to put something bubbly to chill in the fridge because we’re hoping she will arrive this time next year and as you’d expect, there are some big plans afoot which we will be revealing in spring 2024, so keep your eyes peeled!

As for 2023, a HUGE thank you to everyone who has rehomed their own feathery flock – those hens don’t know how lucky they are to be part of the soon-to-be-one-million living out a free-range retirement.
