| Improving The Journey For All |
The Poultry Vet Guide has been broken down into several sections, each of which can be further filtered by species (chicken, duck, goose, turkey):
• Diseases – including an alphabetised list of the most common ailments facing each bird, along with a detailed factsheet for each one containing clinical signs, diagnosis and treatment
• Decision trees – again, broken down for each species, this will enable vets to determine the best course of action depending on the patient’s clinical signs
• Drugs overview – a comprehensive table of drugs and drug doses for each poultry type, including two different versions for UK and US vets
• Vet Practice Library – a resource containing case studies, surgical procedures, how-to articles and clinical references
In addition, each vet who signs up to the guide will receive a quarterly newsletter containing the latest poultry news and case studies added to the site.
We want ALL vets to benefit from signing up to this unique resource, so please hand your vet our magazine marking the PVG pages and ask them to visit www.poultryvetguide.com
Shortly before this issue went to print four of the BHWT team ditched the feathers and poop for glitzy ballgowns as they attended The Charity Awards ceremony at The Royal Lancaster in London.
The charity’s Improving Pet Hen Health scheme, including the Poultry Vet Guide, was shortlisted in the Animals and the Environment category. Whilst we didn’t take the overall win, we were delighted to be highly commended, and to have our work presented to over 500 people.
