Kelly Rutkowski: Kelly is a Clemson University graduate and structural engineer with an MBA, who left a successful career designing marinas to follow her passion of helping animals, particularly chickens.
Rebecca Gounaris DVM: Dr. Rebecca is a third generation small animal veterinarian with a passion for backyard poultry medicine and strives to normalize veterinary care for pet poultry.
Sharon Evans BSc (Hons), BVSc, MRCVS: Sharon is a poultry vet currently working with parent laying hens, supporting BHWT projects and setting up the Chicken Clinic in Bristol.

Jane Howorth MBE: Our Jane doesn’t need much introduction we feel! Thanks to her work over 930,000 laying hens have been given the retirements they deserve and it is her passion and dedication that saw the charity’s Improving Pet Hen Health nominated in The Charity Awards shortlist 2023.
Gaynor Davies BA (Hons), RVN, A-SQP: After becoming head nurse at a small animal clinic in London, Gaynor moved to Devon and volunteered for the BHWT before rapidly rising through the ranks to become our Head of Operations and Welfare.
David Marek BSc (Hons): David is an IT professional with more than 20 years’ experience. He has been rehoming hens from his home in Cheshire since 2018 and supports the charity with IT consultancy as well as providing governance and chairing the Board.
