Hero time

Jane was Channel 5 News’ ‘hero of the week’ back in May. Roving reporter Ruth Liptrop came down to Hen Central and interviewed Jane to spread the word about our charity history, international growth and move into prisons.

Kat got the cream

Former Dragons’ Den contestant and tireless BHWT advocate Kat Shovlin was featured on the BBC back in spring, helping us rehome no fewer than 385 hens in her native Kent. Successfully, we might add. Cheers Kat, you’re a star.

Oh You!

You Magazine – the UK’s largest-circulation women’s mag, just sayin’ – ran a spread celebrating Jane, in particular the launch of World Hen Welfare. Writer Maddy Fletcher travelled from London to Jane’s Crediton home for the piece. “It was so lovely to meet Jane,” said Maddy. “And the hens, of course.”
