The life of a rehomed hen is a far cry from the life she’s been used to. From one among thousands to a loved pet in someone’s back garden, the transition is huge in their little world.
However, we know they soon settle and thrive, just like these ladies adopted by Claire from our Boncath site this summer.
She adopted 15 ex-caged girls and here are some of them enjoying their newfound freedom. They now have names and enjoy sitting on their chicken tree in the sun. Finally, they have the life we think they've earned.
