Hen Helpline

Our Hen Helpline has proved a vital source of support to many hen keepers which we wish to continue long into the future. That’s why we introduced a small £5 charge per enquiry earlier this year to subsidise some of the costs involved in running the service.

We were delighted that in our recent Hensus 68% of you said you were prepared to pay to use the Hen Helpline. Of course, there are instances where we would not expect you to pay and so we ensure there is no charge for anyone who has adopted hens in the four weeks prior to a call.

Since introducing the charge there has been a notable increase in donations towards the helpline, all of which ensures it is a sustainable service which can continue to help all hen keepers, whether they have adopted through the BHWT or not.
