Egg Clubber Elise on track for her £500 target
After adopting hens in 2020, Elise Cartmell quickly joined our Egg Club and set herself an ambitious target of raising £500. And she’s already over halfway to reaching her goal!
Elise says, “I’m an essential worker and took my eggs into the laboratory each week and asked for donations; demand always outstrips supply. I also added myself to the BHWT Egg Club map and I now have a regular lady who comes up to collect eggs and donates via PayPal. I also have lots of friends and family who come by and collect.”
Egg Club is the perfect circle of hens helping hens. Donations given for eggs are passed to the BHWT to help us keep saving more flocks from slaughter and rehoming them as family pets.
Elise told us: “Our newest hens are laying well and we love to make yummy Yorkshire puddings! We also tried Orlando Murrin’s macaroni soufflé recipe from the last Chicken & Egg magazine, which was delicious!”
